Three brothers (Tom Hardy, Shia LaBeouf & Jason Clarke) who run a bootlegging operation in Prohibition-era Virginia are threatened when the local law (Guy Pearce) asks for a cut of the profit.
Directed by Australian filmmaker John Hillcoat (The Proposition, The Road) and co-written by Hillcoat and Nick Cave (The Proposition), Lawless is based on the real life Bondurant family, and also stars Mia Wasikowska, Gary Oldman and Jessica Chastain.
